2019 Acura TLX One of Acura Vehicles Named in Recall

Acura is participating in a recall of vehicles, including the Acura MDX and the Acura TLX, because of a possible fuel pump issue that may lead to stalling of the engine, or may limit acceleration.

At Acura of Concord, we are committed to keeping you informed of industry news and Acura recalls. No incidents or injuries related to this recall have been reported at this time.

Vehicle owners will be contacted by the end of March, but if your vehicle is listed under the recall we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so that we can get your car or SUV the care that it needs.

Recall Details

The current issue being reported is that fuel pumps in the named vehicles may respond poorly to sodium particles in some gasoline formulas and suffer slow function. A slowed fuel pump may cause your engine to stall.

If your vehicle is affected, your local Acura dealer will choose to either update the specific engine software that controls the fuel pump, or we will simply replace the entire fuel pump if the software update doesn't fix the issue.

Recall auto service is not billed to owners.

The recall affects select 2019 Acura TLX V6 models, as well as certain 2015 - 2018 Acura TLX V6 models and 2016 - 2018 Acura MDX models.
