Forbes Contributor Recognizes New Sound in the Upcoming 2019 Acura RDX

There's a lot to be excited about when it comes to the upcoming 2019 Acura RDX--which was shown at the 2018 New York International Auto Show as a future vehicle, and which is expected to go on sale in the summer--but there's one update that strikes a particular tune with enthusiasts.

You could say it's music to our ears.

A Forbes contributor penned a piece recently praising the addition of a new, updated sound system for the upcoming 2019 Acura RDX.

Let's take a look at the audio in the current generation, and see why this change will be a big thrill for audiophiles.

Current System for 2018 Acura RDX Model

The current generation of the 2018 Acura RDX SUV offers an optional ELS Surround® Premium 10-speaker Sound System with Dolby® Pro Logic® II surround-sound functions.

It's a system that was developed in conjunction with Elliott Scheiner, who now has eight Grammys for sound engineering under his belt, to create a more-than-premium listening experience.

It's a very popular system already--but Acura knew they could do more.

Future Sound System for Upcoming 2019 Acura RDX Model

Acura once again tapped Scheiner for assistance, and the upcoming 2019 model will debut the all-new Acura ELS Studio 3D Premium Audio System: a 16-speaker, 710-watt surround-sound system that went to some fascinating lengths to make it work.

The new system even includes four ultra-slim speakers actually mounted inside the ceiling, around the massive sunroof.

It's about as close to a professional studio experience as you can get inside of an SUV.

Tom Dunn of Panasonic Auto Systems of America says that the new system will offer "a higher level of detail, definition and clarity".

Keep your eyes peeled for the arrival of the upcoming 2019 Acura RDX, which will be available sometime soon at your Acura of Concord dealership.
